NBR ISO 9001

Initially it fits to clarify that, as a Credential Organism of Certification, the BRTÜV works under norms that are stipulated by official organisms of credenciamento. For this phase of transistion, the ISO (International Organization will be Stardardization) and IAF (International Accreditation Forum) had waked up a series of rules that had been divulged to all the national entities of credenciamento (INMETRO and TGA/DAR, for example). The BRTÜV has the commitment to fulfill these rules.

• Existirá a period of transistion of 3 years, that if it initiates with the approval of the norm. For the Norm approved in 15/Dezembro/2000, it locks in itself in 15/Dezembro/2003. In this period of transistion, the company will be able to choose enters the certification of conformity with Version 1994 or Version 2000;

• Certifyd emitted in accordance with Version 1994 (new certifications or recertificações are they) to the long one of the period of transistion, will have a stated period of inferior validity to the usual stated period of 3 years. They will have as she dates validity principle the date of the end of the period of transistion. Example: A company certifyd in 20/Agosto/2002, will have its valid certificate until 15/Dezembro/2003, only.

• Version 2000 of Norms NBR ISO 9000, 9001 and 9004, in Portuguese, had been published in December of 2000.

Note: The end of the period of transistion does not depend on the date of the publication of the versions in Portuguese. It locks in itself in 15/Dezembro/2003. Companies who already meet Version 1994 in accordance with certified have the right to keep its certification until the date of the expiration of its certificates. No certifier can compel a company to anticipate its certification in accordance with the new version.
• Extensions or up-gratings for Version 2000 can be made in periodic auditorships, recertificações, or at any time waked up between certifier and certified company.
